ストーリー

China has stepped up efforts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). To fully support the Hubei Province, 16 municipalities and provinces will aid cities in Hubei province to fight the epidemic, following a national "pairing-up support for Hubei" policy.

Shanghai has sent another 350 medical workers from two hospitals on Sunday to Hubei Province, where the novel coronavirus struck the most. Eight medical workers from Shanghai Medical Emergency Center were also ready for the call. They will be transferring contagious patients from hospital to hospital in the city of Wuhan.

Among the 350, 214 were from Huashan Hospital and they will be working in ICUs in Tongji Hospital in Wuhan. The rest of them are from Ruijin Hospital.

In order to fit into protective clothing, some nurses got their hair cut right before their departure. Shanghai has been sent nearly 1,000 medical workers from over 50 hospitals to Hubei Province since Jan.24.

Five medical teams with 958 members from east China's Jiangsu Province were sent to Hubei Province on Sunday. The teams, from cities including Nanjing, Wuxi and Suzhou with two team leaders from the provincial health commission, mainly consist of medical personnel from departments of respiratory, critical care and intensive medicine, as well as clinicians of internal medicine and nursing staff.

They are expected to take over 16 critical care zones in a local hospital together with 11 other medical teams coming from other places across the country.

Jiangsu had previously sent four batches of medical teams to Hubei, with a total of 480 professionals including doctors, nurses, healthcare experts and testing staff.

Guangdong has send tent "hospital" to epicenter of coronavirus outbreak and began operation. The small-scale hospital equipped with portable medical devices can meet basic clinic requirements.

Meanwhile, China has been endeavoring to ensure daily necessities for citizens. By the end of February 7, 1200 tons of fruits and vegetables had been sent to Hubei, including 40,000 catties of eggplant and 50,000 catties of Hami melon.

In Shandong, over 300 workers from Kangli Medical volunteered to work during the holiday. At the same time, the Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd produces more than 20 million tablets of antipyretic and analgesic drugs a day, sparing no effort to ensure medicines supply.

With concerted efforts, "pairing-up" support, and efforts of Hubei residents the supply of daily necessities in the whole of Hubei Province has been secured.
